Grateful For Your Support

The AIAIA delegation will be returning soon to the US. It has been an extraordinary time with our South African brothers and sisters.

The photos are worth a thousand words. I have often noticed how children have the innate ability to remind us of our better selves.

I share this bit of wisdom from Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta. I cherish the fact that I had the opportunity to meet her when I was in graduate school in Chicago. AIAIA continues to partner with Saint Teresa’s community in the township known as Khayelitsha, South Africa.

“People are often unreasonable and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you.
Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, may be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough.
Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”
