Knitted Caps

I am often asked about the knitted caps and how beneficial they would be in what is commonly believed to be a warm, if not hot climate. In my eighteen years of coming to SA, the local communities are fairly sensitive to cooler temperatures. Winters can be quite cool and wet.

The townships have extremely limited public utilities. The homes that are informal settlements are prone to flooding and a source of heat simply does not exist for millions of the township residents.
