These supplies are particularly vital in rural areas where access to medical care is difficult and malnutrition is prevalent

On the annual trip to South Africa, each of the AIAIA delegates take a 50 pound bag of donated medical supplies to deliver to medical centers with whom AIAIA has an established relationship. Over the counter pain medications, vitamins, exam gloves, bandaids, toothbrushes and toothpaste comprise the majority of donations. These supplies are particularly vital in rural areas where access to medical care is difficult and malnutrition is prevalent. The donations sometimes double the current inventory of these medical facilities.

In 2015,  the delegation delivered medical supplies for a newly formed wellness center at the JL Zwane Centre in Gugulethu. A similar program is being organized in Malungeni, a rural community where AIAIA supplies a quarterly food distribution.
