Friendship

In our travels in South Africa in the townships around Cape Town and in Malungeni in the Western Cape-we have given friendship bracelets to many children and adults. These brightly colored, handmade bracelets are a symbol of love and friendship. Recipients respond with beautiful smiles. This is another example of Umbutu: “We can truly be human together”. We are very grateful to the Girl Scouts, families, and friends who so generously gave of their own time to create over 700 bracelets and helped to make a meaningful connection.
